Espiritu Bautista Pascual
Espiritu Bautista Pascual was an indigenous Yanesha' (Amuesha) cultural expert and musician who lived in Loma Linda, in the southcentral Peruvian Amazon. He dedicated his life to interviewing Yanesha' elders, documenting Yanesha' oral history and identifying important places in the landscape that were tied to Yanesha' history and traditional knowledge. Part of his legacy is preserved at www.yanesha.com Photo by Anna Luisa Daigneault, linguistic anthropologist.
