30218 Xetá 1-9 The true speakers [of Xetá] were Tucanambá, Tikein. and Kwein. The first two died some years ago. Kuein is still alive but deaf. Aryon [Rodrigues] used to refer to a Xetá woman, Aan (also Ana), as a speaker of Xetá, but now she only speaks Mbya with her husband in her Mbyá community.
