Similarly, there are non-Kiranti inhabitants of Bhojpur of Indo-Aryan stock who speak Bantawa as a mother tongue. In Sindran, the last stronghold of Bantawa, the vast majority of the population identifies themselves as Kirawa `Kiranti' and speak Bantawa as a mother tongue."
