Notes for a dictionary of the Maya language, consisting of Maya words in alphabetical order with Spanish equivalents and notes. The alphabetical sequence repeats four times, presumably representing information from different, unidentified sources. The last sequence is on a larger paper size without pagination. Front matter includes a signed preface by Juan Pío Pérez and an annotated offprint of C. Hermann Berendt's 1871 essay Los trabajos lingüísticos de Don Juan Pio Perez. The first gathering containing this material is detached. Two loose leaves of additional notes by Perez have been removed, unfolded, and shelved with the manuscript.
