Mudiadau lleol yw’r Mentrau Iaith, sy’n rhoi cymorth i gymunedau i gynyddu ac ehangu’r defnydd o’r iaith Gymraeg. Mae Menter Iaith yn gweithio ar draws un sir fel arfer, ac yn adlewyrchu awydd pobl leol i wneud mwy o ddefnydd o’r iaith.

Mae’r Mentrau yn rhoi cymorth a chyngor i unigolion, mudiadau a busnesau, ac yn cynnal gweithgareddau a chynnal gwasanaethau lle bo’r galw a’r angen er mwyn codi proffil a defnydd yr iaith.

‘Mentrau Iaith’ are local organisations who support communities to increase and expand the use of the Welsh language. Mentrau Iaith operate in one county usually, encouraging local enthusiasm to use more of the Welsh language.

Menter Iaith advise and support individuals, organisations and businesses and deliver activities and services given the demand to raise the profile and use of the language.
