ELP's 2022 Festival of Indigenous Languages opened with this keynote by Dr. Lorna Wanosts'a7 Williams, Chair of the First Peoples' Cultural Foundation and Professor Emerita at the University of Victoria, hosted by chuutsqa L. Rorick.

 

In this profoundly inspiring talk, Dr. Williams shares about where she's come from, her early experiences with her Ucwalmícwts language and other languages, and her lifelong work to reclaim and restore Indigenous languages around the world.
