The principal communities include: Fort Liard, Fort Providence, Fort Simpson, Hay River Dene, Jean Marie River, Nahanni Butte, and Trout Lake, some at Wrigley(?), Slave in the town of Hay River. In northern British Columbia at Fort Nelson. In Alberta at Meander River, Chateh Lake (Assumption), and at a few other places on the upper Hay River.
