A few hundred members of Bana (Phana') in Laos, also some hundreds nearby in China. Language closely related to Sila. Classified in the Hani Nationality in China, and in the Akha group in Laos.

Akha; Lahu
All are multilingual, speaking Akha and/or Lahu and some Tai language. At the village in Houaysai Province in Laos, the language is being replaced by Lahu. At the village in Namtha Province and in China, it is being replaced by Akha.
