The Catalogue of Endangered Languages was created by Lyle Campbell (project director) and the Endangered Languages Catalogue team of the Department of Linguistics, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, in collaboration with the Eastern Michigan University team and a group of some dozen Regional Directors. The Hawai‘i team includes John Van Way (project coordinator 2011-2012), Sean Simpson (project coordinator 2012-2013), Alexander Smith (project coordinator 2013-2014), Anna Belew and Bryn Hauk (project coordinators 2015-present), Eve Okura, Yen-Ling Chen, Nala Huiying Lee, and Kaori Ueki. Valuable contributions to the research in the catalogue were also made by Carolina Aragon, Katie Butler, Joelle Kirtley, Stephanie Locke, Colleen O’Brien, and Melody Ann Ross-Nathaniel.
