There are very large transmigration projects right behind many Tialo vil- lages, with the transmigrants outnumbering the Tialo. So far, this pattern of settlement has not affected Tialo language usage very much, but is likely to do so with improved transportation facilities.
No literacy in it.
Sulawesi, on the south coast of the northeastern peninsula of Sulawesi, in its extreme western part where it joins the narrow neck which links the peninsula to the bulk of Sulawesi. One part of Tialo is spoken east of Tomini town, the other to the west of Moutong town.
