"According to the village chiefs, the present resident population is less than 200 persons, about one hundred in Dii and forty in Mbong... the total number of speakers of Dimbong is fewer than three hundred persons, and many of the young people have left for the cities, or even for other countries. There are now fewer than 150 resident speakers (in two villages)."
