In response to recent reports on the murder of the last woman speaker of Resígaro, Rosa Andrade, Dr. Seifart has confirmed that her brother, Pablo Andrade, is the last fully fluent speaker of Resígaro.

The Resygaro group seems to have dissolved within the Bora and Ocaina communities in which they settled.
In the northeastern Bora and Ocaina communities Puerto Isago and Brillo Nuevo.

Resígaro is spoken today by only two fully fluent speakers who live in the Ocaina village of Nueva Esperanza, Ampiyacu River, Loreto, northeastern Peru, at 3 0 25'35 South and 71 0 59'37 West.
