Alphabet officially approved by the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Council. Although simpler alphabets are possible, this alphabet best shows the relationships among the meaning parts (morphemes) of Cheyenne. This alphabet fits the Cheyenne language well, as it is spoken both in Montana and Oklahoma.
