MÁS SOBRE LA VITALIDAD
Because of the limited number of speakers, Malabar Creole is not used in daily life except between two sisters who both speak the language and who live together. All other speakers are the sole speakers of Malabar Creole in their households and are therefore unable to use it. Interviews conducted with speakers since 2006 reveal great nostalgia for the loss of the language and for a period in their young age in which it was still vital in the family.
