KOMMENTARE ZUM SPRACHKONTEXT: "The influence of surrounding languages on Abun has been significant. It is particularly easy to see the influence of Biak and Indonesian, as will be demonstrated below, but less so the influence of the three neighbouring languages of Moi, Mpur and Mai Brat (Mare). This is no doubt because the contact with Biak and Indonesian has been closer and more continuous." (p.5)
