Youtube presentation (2012) about the different sources on the Miami-Illinois language, explaining their strengths and weaknesses. The original sources on the Miami-Illinois language span more than 200 years, from the late 17th century to the early 20th century. The language was first documented in the Illinois missions by Jesuit missionaries, resulting in three dictionaries with a massive amount of data, though the most extensive English-language documentation of the language took place from the 1890s through the 1930s.
