This collection of papers comes from a symposium on teaching indigenous languages, therefore some papers are in English and some are in Spanish. Chapter 7 mentions Santiago del Estero Quechua. It describes how this dialect of Quechua came to be and how the language in the area was impacted by this. There is much linguistic diversity in Argentina and this is why it is important to distinguish between the many different dialects.
