Collection of works on the Maya language, including works on grammar and lexicography, by Juan Pío Pérez and C. Hermann Berendt. Berendt copied a work by Pérez on Maya grammar; created an index to that work; added his own essay on Pérez's linguistic work; copied extracts from Pérez's introduction to the Diccionario de Tícul; and began an essay on the history of lexicography in the Maya language. A table of contents in Berendt's hand is on the front flyleaf.
